Try this first

Most issues fall into a handful of patterns. A 30-second check often saves a round-trip.

Google Calendar isn't syncing

  • Open the app preferences and confirm the account is still connected. Re-authenticate if it shows a token error.
  • Confirm the calendars you want to monitor are checked in the Calendars tab.
  • Check your network. An active VPN or corporate firewall can block Google's OAuth endpoints.

Apple Calendar is empty

  • In System Settings → Privacy & Security → Calendars, confirm Unmissably has access.
  • Make sure the calendar you expect actually lives in the macOS Calendar app. iCloud subscriptions can be disabled per device.

The overlay didn't appear

  • Check that the event has a real start time on the day you're testing, and that your system clock is correct.
  • Confirm Focus mode isn't suppressing overlays.
  • If you're only on an external display, macOS may need screen-recording permission to draw on every display.

"One-click join" opens the wrong thing

  • The link parser reads notes, descriptions, and invite fields. If a calendar entry has multiple links, Unmissably picks the most specific meeting URL. Add a clear Zoom, Meet, or Teams URL to the event and it will be picked up on the next sync.
Privacy note. Unmissably does not collect crash logs, analytics, or diagnostic pings. If we ever ask for a log to debug something, you export it explicitly and send it. Nothing is sent automatically.
